Like those of the cheese and spinach variety, this “dip” is good! The slow, recent decrease in pending home sales means the market will be shifting from a seller’s market to a buyer’s market. While it is not 100% a buyer’s market, it certainly feels a lot like one and we’re heading in that direction. Houses are staying on the market for a few days instead of selling in hours. This summer in Omaha, we witnessed near historically low listing times. Homes were flying off the market, giving a great number of hopeful homeowners little chance. So, anyone who gave up house hunting this summer should get back out there! This is an especially good time for first-time homebuyers.
