We all like a little wiggle room, but has it gotten out of control? You might not have realized it but the average square space per person has doubled in the last 40 years. The current average home size is about 2,679 square feet. And the kicker is the average household size has decreased from 3.01 persons per household to 2.54 today. Put simply, we’re demanding more space for fewer people. All this is to say, be sure you’re being realistic about the size of home you need and keep these tips in mind:
-68% of the average family’s time is largely spent in the kitchen and the family room.
-Formal dining rooms get the least use.
-Living rooms without televisions also go largely unused.
