While it should be obvious that I’m a big supporter of owning real estate, I also understand that the ability to do so comes at different times for all of us. Purchasing real estate is a huge decision; one that should not be entered into lightly. Talking with your lending professional early means setting yourself up for success. You and your lending professional can assess where you’re at vs where you’d like to be, and come up with a plan. Put simply, knowledge is power. Knowing where you stand financially is an all too often overlooked advantage you can give yourself when it does come time to buy a house. There will be no delays, no surprises, and no “No’s.”
